WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk through your problems in a safe non judgement environment, where you will be able to embark on a journey of self discovery, which will allow you to understand yourself better, explore destructive patterns of behaviour, help you look at the alternative options and give you awareness of different choices you could make. You may be going through a crisis such as bereavement or a sudden change in a relationship or work. Whatever the situation sometimes suddenly seems unbearable and everything’s getting on top of you.
WHAT ISSUES CAN YOU HELP WITH?
We have a whole section on this for more information you can see in above in the links "Types of Issues" or by simply CLICKING HERE .
WHAT KINDS OF THERAPY ARE THERE?
There are many different types of therapy available to you and you will have the choice or have a discussion during your consultation about the approach and counsellor that will be most suited to your needs.
Some therapies will focus on the here and now and will help you to problem solve the issues that are holding you back in your day to day life, others may take you back to previous life events, such as trauma, that have had a long term impact upon your well being.
Whichever course of therapy you decide upon, by the end you should have a clearer understanding about your own thinking and behaviour, a better ability to understand and resolve your problems and an improvement in your quality of life.
